My guest for this episode is Elise Durbin, Director of Community and Economic Development with the Carver County CDA. We discuss the mission and purpose of Community Development Agencies and how they serve residents and businesses by filling voids left by the regular market. This is done with certain types of housing, counseling and also with the implementation of state and federal funds designated to help small businesses in times of trouble like during Pandemics which programs such as “The Cares Program.” Elise has extensive expertise and is well experienced in this area and although she is newer to Carver County, she is a quick study and has really become immersed in Carver County.
